In addition to the quantitative part of the study a qualitative survey will also be used to acquire information on individual decision processes as well as to complement results gained from the quantitative survey. As in the quantitative part, academics with and without their own children and of various status groups will be queried.
The qualitative part of the study will be conducted in the form of half standardized telephone interviews. A sample of 70 persons will be drawn.
